HP Inkjet Engine

Hi
I purchased a HP Deskjet 3745 yesterday. I installed both the OSX and
Classic drivers (presuming this would allow me to print from Classic
mode).

Now, whenever I login, a program called HP Inkjet Engine launches in
Classic mode. It has only one menu "Help" which is non-functional. I
have to use Command-Tab-q to quit from it.

Anyone else had this problem and solved it?

Peter

Can't speak for OSX and Classic mode but I am on OS 9 with a 3550 and
that is the necessary engine that runs in background mode for printing
needs. If it is not launched at start up you cannot print.

Maybe set a short script to perform that function at start up and make
sure it executes as the last item?
