Re: Compatible DVD burner for iDVD

I bought the Pioneer DVR 108 after reading about iDVD having problems
with other drives. $109 from Other World Computing. Best price I found -
not any relation to them but they seem to have very competitive prices
for Mac things and they ship fast. I have burned a number of DVDs very
successfully so I am happy with it. I have a G4 Quicksilver.

I can see this thinking in terms of speed, but quality?

I did discover that you DO NOT have to remove the front door on the 108
like they show you in the instructions; it works just fine leving it on.

They also have little quicktimes on the tech page to show you how to
install stuff.

Re: Compatible DVD burner for iDVD

Is there a compatible pioneer or other external USB or firewire DVD
recorder that will work with iDVD on a recent OSX G4 emac or does the
drive have to be internal to work with iDVD?
