| Can't bootup after upgrade Please help. My wife did a routine upgrade of the airport extreme software through Apple, and the machine (iBookG4 with OSX 10.3) rebooted, then hung at "loading signin window". I have tried all the things described at Apple.com with no success. Does anyone have an idea what caused this, or how to recover without having to reinstall everything, thereby losing all the files? We run a wireless home network (I also have an iBookG4) with an Airport (the one that looks like a little flying saucer) and a PC running WinXP connected to the Airport with ethernet cable. There has been no problem at all until running the upgrade. ....Ron |

You don't lose any files when you reinstall software or OS. GW (still have every file from OS8.6 on my now OS10.3.6 machine) |

If you get to the Finder, try repairing your hard drive with the Disc Utility (found in the menus within the OS installer application.) -- Walt Sellers Macintosh Programming and Support in Central Florida www.VirtualOutpost.com ws_usenet@virtualoutpost.com - include the keyPhrase "WhoYaGonnaCall?" in the body or subject of the message to get past the spam filters. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= In theory there is no difference between practice and theory, but in practice there is. -unknown =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |
