Music Sharing Servers - List?

Is ther ea web site or list of known-active file share servers that
can be used with programs such as LimeWire, SoulSeek, and 2-Get?

It appears that some of these programs come pre-programmed with
servers but after a time these simply depart the network never to be
seen again.

Most have the ability to add/delete server IP addresses, but where to
locate a list?

The way those networks work is to never have a central list of servers.
All clients are servers, and vice versa. You simply have to plug the
client into the network at one known point, and then it'll begin finding
other servers on its own.

In the case of limewire, the company maintains a server that is always
running, so you can connect to it and find other servers through it.

Interesting.

Yet using 2-Get, it attempts to list onto a fixed set of servers
globally. Sometimes the servers are not found and sometimes they show
full at anywhere from several dozen to several thousand users.
