| RP614 Router macintosh G3 and Windows XP computer with Verizon DSL HELL I recently bought a netgear rp614 router and it plugged in and worked fine wiht my new pc, but my macintosh (beige G3, running 9.2.2 that has been running beautifully, albeit slowly, for years) will not register it...I have spoken to Verizon DSL and they say it is not their problem, I've spoken to Netgear and they say it is not their problem...I can get my mac to connect to Verizon when I plug the modem in directly through ethernet. I am following all the instructions from netgear, I have updated my firmware, I am sure that my appletalk is on and that my connection port is Ethernet. My TCP/IP is set up to Ethernet using DHCP server and I do not receive any ip address at all... I am a PC idiot, but I did poke around the Router Settings and noticed that my WAM status said "error"..not that i know what WAM is. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
