archiving websites on my mac for offline browsing

Hi -
what is the best way to archive websites for offline browsing? I miss
Internet explorer's somewhat less perfect "make available for offline"
use. I remember there were some unix tools for this purpose that would
replicat the website locally. Any experts plz?

thanks,
praty

You can just save the page as HTML.

In Mozilla, I'd click File...Save page as...
In Safari, I'd click File...save as...
Of course there are copyright issues here, so I can't say you should do
this.
