Mac OSX Server 10.2 errors

We have several OS X Macs talking to an OSX server over TCP/IP. When we open
certain word files from the server, we get major traffic and word crashes.

My packet sniffer says that there is an "FPGetFileDirParms unicode error...,
next time".

The protocol captured is AFP. Only seems to be when Word files are opened
and edited from the server.

Any ides?

KJO
