MYOB on a G5

Hi there,

just wanted to check and see if there were any issues people were having
with MYOB AccountEdge v4 on G5s - have a customer worried because of the
VPC kerfuffle, and thought I'd quickly make sure about MYOB before we do
the install.

Thanks

Sean

Sorry, I obviously wasn't clear enough about the info I need - the VPC
vs G5 issue made my customer worry that AccountEdge might have probs on
the G5 (running within OS X, not VPC) - it's not that they (or I)
thought we needed VPC to run MYOB, but that they were concerned it might
have similar probs to VPC. MYOB (the company) weren't much help, so my
customer asked to check it out, hence my question.

To put it more directly and simply:

Is anyone aware of any issues related to running MYOB on G5s?

Thanks

Sean

Speculation mode only...

VPC only has problems with the new G5 (and no other software I know of
does) because it utilised an obscure (but useful) instruction on the
G3/G4 chips to swap the order of bytes around (Pentiums and PPC chips
store them in different orders).

I can't imagine any reason why MYOB would be using those instructions.
