problems initializing DVD player

This just stopped working:

I can't even open DVD player (even w/o a DVD in drive) because it says
"video driver doesn't have enough memory to play back the media
(-70026).

I have 384 MB memory
Mac OS X 10.3.2
Powerbook G3 (Pismo)

I have played DVDs in the past with no problem. Don't know why it
stopped working.

Any suggestions?
