Problems with installing MAC OS X

Hi everybody,
I bought used Apple Powerbook 400MHz but it it loads, Mac OS X Server
asks for user and password. I tried to install fresh version of Mac Os
X Jaguar, but it does not boot from CD. I've tried to boot from Linux
Redhat, SuSe CDs but they all fail. It starts spinning CD and then
ejects both Lunix CDs, and does nothing when I insert OS X
Jaguar...I'm pressing "C" Key but it does not seems to do anything
So now I'm stuck with laptop which I cannot use.
Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks
Anton

Restart and hold the option key down. You should be able to then choose
which system you want to boot with. Even a cd. What you need to do is boot
with your hardware test cd to make sure there isn't something wrong with the
computer (it tests all physical components of your computer) and then use
Tech Tool Pro or your install cd to completely reinstall X and wipe your
hard drive of Server.

Kind Regards,
Nathaniel
