| startup problem Hi, My G4 laptop suddenly started up into a full screen console window. Everthing appears normally at first, I get a grey screen apple and the rotating "clock" thing. Then I see a "Welcome to Macintosh" screen and it loads up TCP/IP stuff and then suddenly, instead of getting the desktop or login screen, I get a full screen console login screen. I can login and access files and such but cannot get it to boot up "normally". Has anyone run into this problem? I don't know what to do. I did a fsck -fy and everything appears fine. If I try booting into safe mode the same thing happens. Help!!! David |
