Is it possible to download source for Apache and install it on OS X (not
server X)?

Thanks

Yes, of course. But I think you need the Developer Tools to compile
the source.

But, isn't Apache 1.3 included in MacOS X.3?

You Apache 2.0.49 can download from Apple's download site:
<http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/unix_open_source/apache.html>
But I think this is without the source code.

Apache is already installed on your OSX machine.

Yes, you can download it from the apache web site and it builds without
any trouble on OS X. I have built and installed Apache2 with the SSL
and various other modules on OS X including the jakarta tomcat connector
jk2.
