| 'new text document' contextual menu item for OS X Hi, I'm looking for a system enahancement that will add "New TextEdit document" and "New Dreamweaver document" etc. to my finder contextual menu (i.e. right click in the finder). There used to be one for OS 8.x that would check look to a specified folder for 'blank' documents (empty documents), and when the contextual menu item was chosen, it would basically copy the correct document to where the mouse was pointing (if the document was blank, then it looked as if a blank document had been created there). The function I'm looking for is analagous to the windows "new text document" right click... Thanks. |

| Re: 'new text document' contextual menu item for OS X I don't know if this means anything to anyone, but I found the old Mac OS 8.x extension emulated the Windows right-click "New text document"... It's called: NewMenu 1.0 the version box (from get info) says: NewMenu 1.0 (c) 1995, CE Softare, Inc., Source Code by Don Brown A friend of mine dug up the extension, then fired up his mac into OS 8.x (I dunno which version it was), and it worked like a charm. Now I'm looking for the same functionality for Mac OS X... Anyone know where I can find it? As a side note: I can't seem to find any reference to the NewMenu 1.0 extension on the internet... |
