Connect to server problem

Cable modem connected to a Airport WAN.

Ethernet hub connected to LAN port on Airport.

Two other computers connected to a hub have access to the internet but I can't
see any of them on the TiBook even though file sharing is enabled.

Is a router necessary instead of a hub to see them via the Airport?
