eMac Firewire problems

Tried connecting my iPod to my eMac today and am having what looks like some
serious firewire problems. I'm getting power through the cable but it
doesn't look like I'm getting any data. The iPod doesn't mount. My iPod
works like a charm on my iBook, so I know its not a problem on the iPod (or
FireWire cable) end. I also tried plugging in a DV camera, which now isn't
recognized (nothing under Firewire in System Profiler, no camera in iChat).
Has anyone had any problems with eMac Firewire ports going dead? I
purchashed the machine a few months ago, reconditioned from Apple, so it
should still be under warentee, but I just wanted to see if anyone could
shed some light on this first.

N.

Re: eMac Firewire problems

Try loging out and loging back in with your iPod connected. See if it
shows up when you log back in.
