My AOL version 10.3 periodically crashes on OS X 10.2.8.
Anyone have similar situation and perhaps a fix?

Ditch AOL and use a proper ISP.

AOL is one of many time wasting toys that I have on my computer. I only
keep it for the kids.

Have you checked the AOL website for OS X updates and/or patches? That would
be the first place I would look. Also send a note to them informing them of
your crash problem, but only after you "rebuild your permissions" on your OS
X system first.

Can you give us more information?

You might look in /Applications/Utilities/Console after a crash and see
if anything was logged.
