How to find Ram Doubler 9

To friends of older macs:

Any suggestions of how to find a copy of Ram Doubler 9?

I am considering putting OS 9.something on my crusty old Powerbook 5300,
which is currently running OS 8.1.

Since memory is limited on this thing, I'd like to continue to use Ram
Doubler. The version I have (Ram Doubler 8) doesn't work under OS 9.
There apparently was a Ram Doubler 9, a free upgrade for those with Ram
Doubler 8. But unfortunately, www.connectix.com seems to be gone,
presumably assimilated somewhere into the black hole in Redmond. And so
far I haven't found any vendors with old copies.

Can anyone suggest how one might obtain a copy?

Thanks,

Any reason not to use the virtual memory built into the OS?

(1) The standard VM support hard allocates more disk space than Ram Doubler,
a consideration on an older machine with limited disk. But more important:
(2) Ram Doubler is faster. It is able to cut down some paging activity by
compressing unused pages in RAM instead of writing them to disk.
