Would an Aple Cube boot with no screen connected ?

Hi,
I just got an Apple Cube with no screen and no VGA adapter. So no way
to connect any monitor.
If I try to boot the machine only with mouse and keyboard the startup
button light up when I touch and then fades way ..and thats all.
Is this related that there is no screen attaches or other problem ?
thank you
george
