Beige G3 Motherboard/ROM variants?

I know that there are at least two different variations of beige G3
motherboards, distingushed by the video chip. Are there any differences
between them other than the video?

I know, also, that there are three different ROM versions. I know
that Revision B corrects some issues regarding IDE slave drives, 256MB
DIMMs, faster CPUs, and such.

Is there, anywhere, a detailed listing of the different beige G3
motherboards, and how they differ?

is there, anywhere, a detailed explanation of the differences between
Revision A, B, and C beige G3 ROMs?

Well, there's tech note 24924, which gives you the ROM revision numbers,
but no real details. And over at Accelerate your Mac
(http://www.xlr8yourmac.com) there's a FAQ that answers a lot of questions
about the Beige G3.

However, I can answer a few of your questions right away. While it's
true that the Rev B ROMs added support for slave drives under OS 9, a
Rev A can also use slave drives, but only under OS X. And all revisions
of the ROM support 256MB DIMMs - low profile units didn't exist when the
G3 first came out, so earlier documents say the max is 128MB. I know
both of these things from experience - my recently retired Rev A ROM
Beige G3 had both a slave drive and a 256MB DIMM. Both worked fine (at
least under OS X).
