| OS X 10.2.8/Built-in audio driver disappeared Here's the problem. I have an iMac G4 17" and a Powerbook "Pismo" G3 laptop. I wanted to transfer my preferences from the iMac to the Powerbook so that I can go on the road and have all my iCal and Entourage contacts/dates with me. In my attempt to copy my Preferences from the iMac to the Powerbook (largely unsuccessful because I am such a novice with OS X still) I managed to make my BUILT IN AUDIO DRIVER dissapear completely. Now my laptop cannot play a single sound. It's silent, and the "sound" control panel shows there's no built in audio driver to choose, so all sounds are greyed out. I have rebuilt permissions and repaired them. I have tried to reinstall OS X but to no avail: The install cd now does not recognize my internal hard drive on the powerbook. Crap. :( Does anyone know how to restore my Sound/Built in Audio Driver while getting around these limitations I just mentioned? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
