| [HELP] M$ Outlook archives on Mac Hi All, I'd like to open some *.pst archive files from Outlook Windows. Can't do with Outlook Express on Virtual PC or Classic, neither can't read the files with Eudora or Mail on OS X. Do you know any trick there, provided that I don't have/want to buy M$ Office ? Thanks in advance, all the best, _Marc |

| Re: [HELP] M$ Outlook archives on Mac Specifically you need Outlook 2001. Available here: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/otherpr...okformac.aspx? pid=outlookformac It runs under Classic only, but it will open your .pst files. (Though exporting may not be possible.) | Re: [HELP] M$ Outlook archives on Mac Would Entourage X work for this? It's supposed to work with exchange servers now. BTW, in regard to the OP's question of opening *.pst files, the last time I tried this with Outlook 2001, it wanted me to log on and authenicate with the server. That is not an option for me (don't know about the OP). So, is there anything out there that will just open these things? You can get the mail by first importing it into Netscape 7 (on the PC), copying the files to your Mac, and then importing the Netscape files. I haven't tried importing contacts or calendar information that way, so I don't know if it will work. Another option is to download Outlook2Mac from www.littlemachines.com. Its shareware, so you can try it before you buy it, and it costs $10 to unlock the full capabilities. IMHO I would skip the Netscape approach and just use Outlook2Mac, for the $10 you will save yourself a lot of time and effort. Regards, - Mike Sent using the Entourage X Test Drive. |
