Panther logs off of Win2k network when inactive

My iBook G4 800 running 10.3.2 logs off of the network at my office
when it has been inactive for about 30 minutes. The office network is
a Win2k peer-to-peer arrangement. DHCP is on. I have AppleTalk turned
on, too, so I can use my LaserJet 6MP (through an AsanteTalk bridge)
at home. It's not a big deal, but I have to restart all the programs I
was running and relocate current Safari web pages (sometimes multiple
tabs) so it can be a time waster. Any idea how I can set the
preferences to allow inactivity for a longer period of time? The PC's
on the network are never kicked off for inactivity.

TIA - John

If your network came with software, or an IP address for configuration, you
could change your network activity settings to not turn off at a certain
time. I know Asante has this feature but I am not sure what router you are
using. It could be also that your mac's network prefs are set to log out for
security reasons at a certain time. Could be in the "firewall" settings.

Kind Regards,
Nathaniel
