| Imac G4/700 level 2 cache Hi I recently sold my Beige G3/300 for an imac G4/700 flat screen. I remember that my Beige had a level 2 cache of 1 M. There was a big difference in speed between a Beige with a L2 cache of 512 K and one with a L2 cache of 1M. I was surprised to see that my imac G4/700 comes with a L2 cache of only 256 K Can someone explain me why Apple is not using more L2 cache in these Imacs? My thinking is that if there was so much difference in speed with different L2 cache in the Beige G3, it should be the same with the G4/700. Am I right ? Thanks Marc Legare |
