| OS X monitor setting problem I have a 333 MHz beige B3 minitower, 384 MB RAM, running OS 9.2.2 and OS X ver. 10.2.6 in separate drive partitions. Monitor is a Samtron 77V supporting resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 at 60 Hz. and connected to the monitor output with an adapter. Everything had been working fine. When I tried to boot into OS X today I got a "Sync. Out of range" message on the monitor. Apparently the system is set to a resolution/frequency which the monitor does not support. There is no problem when using OS9 or when booting from the Jaguar install disk (except that it can only do a full install). Is there some way that I can correct this problem without having to get my hands on a monitor which will support the current setting or completely reinstalling the system?? This may allow accessing the monitor settings once the desktop opens. |

Rebooting your machine with your monitor off might put the system into a state where it will put out a signal that your monitor will accept. |
