| How to burn an hybrid CD with a Mac? Hi I tried to burn a hybrid CD which has some mac informations and Win 98 informations. My Mac has OSX2.2.8 installed and I also have toast titanium. I tried to burn a CD but it seems that the win 98 informations are unreadable with a PC machine. What can I do ? Thanks Marc Legare |

| Re: How to burn an hybrid CD with a Mac? Toast can burn a hybrid CD that can be read on both platforms. I've never used Toast, but you can do it using OS 10.2.8 alone. It took me a couple of tries to get it right, though. You have to make sure that no folder or file names have characters that Windows will consider illegal. What I eventually had to do was replace a space in the CD's name with an underscore - now it reads fine on my Win98 machine. -- Srb |

| Re: How to burn an hybrid CD with a Mac? I agree with this assessment. It could be the file extensions/file name length are to blame. Also, you might make sure what files you are trying to get your PC to read. Does your PC have the appropriate programs, etc. I would also separate the mac and pc documents into separate folders as well.
