| Disk Utility crashes with DVD-RW This is my first (disappointing) experience with DVD-RW. OS X 10.3.1 G4 PB 15-inch FW-800). The Finder mounted the blank DVD-RW, I copied files to it, and eject/burned the disk with no problems. Reinserted the DVD-RW. Files are readable. No problems. Apple Knowledge Base article explains how (easily) erasing a DVD-RW should be http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=125104 I have done more or less what I discribe below with Disk Utility several times. It _always_ crashes. Then I launched Disk Utility to erase the DVD-RW. Selecting either the drive or volume, then clicking the Erase tab, results in the Options... and Erase buttons dimmed and the Volume Format popup dimmed too. After some more clicking of anything I can think of, DU crashes. The only thing I can do is a Verify which reports... Verifying volume ³untitled DVD² Checking HFS Plus volume. Checking Extents Overflow file. Checking Catalog file. Checking Catalog hierarchy. Checking volume bitmap. Checking volume information. The volume untitled DVD appears to be OK. 1 volume checked HFS volume verified Anyone had this problem, or no problem ? ------------------------------------------------- Disk Utility reports the
