| self-starting Mac Can anyone please offer a solution to my Mac starting up on its own. I have a 266 G3 iMac that automatically restarts a few seconds after I shut it down. It doesn't matter how I shut down, ie. which button I use or whether I use the mouse. This is a real puzzler, for me at least. I haven't been able to find reference to such a problem in any of my Mac manuals. TIA lindsaygray@bmts.com |

| Re: self-starting Mac [[ This message was both posted and mailed: see the "To," "Cc," and "Newsgroups" headers for details. ]] Check the power button on the front of the iMac to be sure it¹s not sticking. This was a problem with some of them, although I think it was with later models. The solution was to take the case apart and file down the edges of the button.
