Newbie needs help with strange desktop issue under osx

Hey all,

Just got a 14" ibook g4 with osx 10.3 installed and I have a strange
issue with the hard disk icon which shows on my desktop. Originally the
icon was on the top right of the screen but for some reason after I
restart the machine now the disk icon is now located at the bottom right
of the desktop even after I reposition it to the top. I ran the disk
repair program and selected the repair permissions which worked fine.
The icon is still not sticking. My user account is the administrator for
the machine so my rights should be good. Oh and there is not another
icon in the area where I want to position the disk icon.

Any advise on what I should be looking for this stop this?

Thanks.
Doug

Go to view/show view options when you are on your desktop. Make sure
everything is set for snap to grid. Also check to see if you have the right
screen setting for your computer.

Kind Regards,
Nathaniel
