OSX installation problems with iMac G4/700

Hi

I recently bought an Imac G4/700, 15 flat panel
I divided the hard disk in two partitions to install OS 9.2 and OSX 2.2
I didn't have any problems with the installation of the OS9.2

Sometimes When I start the OSX2,2 partition, the Imac have some problems to
boot or there's a message asking me to restart the IMac.

Last night, I tried to reinstall the OSX to get rid of these problems. When
I reinstalled the OSX, there was some problems when I inserted the second
CD. Shortly after the second OSX CD was inserted, the IMac froze and I had
to restart it.

OSX partition wasn't recognized but I cured the problem with SOS disk.

WOW what a mess. I never had any problems like that with my old Beige G3.

I seriously think to reinitialize the HD and reinstall both OS9.2 and OSX
2.2

What's the problem ? Any recommendations ?

Thanks a lot

Marc Legare

Re: OSX installation problems with iMac G4/700

If I remember correctly, if you partition the drive, OS X must be on
the first partition, not the second. That may be your problem.
