Zapped PRAM... long delay after boot

Mt Lacie firewire burner wasn't recognized by my G3. So, I zapped (reset)
the PRAM. When the Mac rebooted, it took about four minutes for anything to
appear on screen.

Now, everytime I reboot, the same frustrating boot delay happens! What can I
do to fix this annoyance?
