How to import Netscape bookmarks into Safari, after Safari hasalready run

On OS X (Panther): I have a bunch of bookmarks in Netscape; does anyone know
how I can get Safari to import them? It claimed to do it once, the first
time I ran it, but at that time I didn't have them imported into Netscape
yet. Does anyone know if there is any way to get it to do it again? Please
cc: to mlevin77@comcast.net if you know. Thanks!!

The only way to import into Safari is the following:

1. Export the Netscape bookmarks in html format.
2. Launch Safari.
3. Drag the Netscape Bookmark file into the Safari window.
4. Safari opens the file as a list of bookmarks.
5. Open a new Safari window.
6. Change this window to view your bookmarks.
7. Resize both windows so you can see both.
8. Drag the bookmarks ONE AT A TIME from the first window to the second.

Of course, you'll have to create new folders, etc. in Safari.

I tried dragging an entire folder, and it does not work.
I tried dragging a selection of bookmarks, and only one moved.

This is essentially what Safari tells you to do in Help.

Actually, there are other ways to do this - editing Safari's .plist
preference file is one, but, for those who don't want to mess with that
sort of stuff, try Safari Enhancer:

Lots of other options as well, b ut you can import from different
browsers and HTML files - much easier than drag and dropping and
recreating bookmark folders.

Regards

Sean
