| superdrive diagnostics? Does anyone know where I can get a program that will check my Superdrive to make sure it is working properly? The last several DVD-R's I burned were very marginal - played ok on the superdrive and a PC DVD-ROM drive, but bad stuttering on my dedicated DVD players. I realize it could be a media issue, but want to check this first if it's possible. Adding to my suspicions was a "diagnostic error" I got from iDVD: Errors were found during the burning process. The recording device reported the hardware error: Tracking servo failure. (0x09, 0x01.) I have another Q as well if anyone can help: I use my internal HD for iMovie and iDVD when editing, but would like to move the projects to an external FW HD when I'm done. I had hoped that I could then bring the projects up on the external HD, but that appears not to work. There must be absolute file references somwhere, as opposed to relative ones. Is this right? And, can I move the projects to the external HD and then back to their original location and use them OK? Many thanks for any help you can provide. Martin |
