| OS X error in trying to connect to an SMB mount Hi All, Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere else, but after 15 minutes of google searching, I couldn't find it. Here's the scenario: I've got a Mac running 10.2.8 that I'm trying to connect to a Windows 2K box as well as a Windows 98 box. Both of them are running file sharing, and both of the Windows boxes can connect to each other through file sharing, no problems. The problem for me is that I can't get my OS X Mac to connect to either of the Windows machines. I just get one of the two following messages: Connecting to smb://192.168.1.123 An error has occurred (error =-36) or Connecting to smb://192.168.1.18 An error has occurred (error =-5023) Does anyone have any ideas for me? I'm guessing that it's something to do with filesharing on the Windows side, but honestly, I don't know where to start. Many thanks!! Bren |
