Can't install OS9.2 in a first iMac generation which had OS8

Hi

This problem is really strange.

This old iMac had Os8 installed before I tried to install the 9.2

I reinitialized the hard disk, pressed alt+option+P+R to reboot many times
this imac with the installation CD.
Each time I tried to install the OS 9.2, there is a message like that: Your
Mac Internal program is obsolete. Updates....

HD initialization is supposed to earase all data in the computer

Why there's still this kind of message when I try to install OS9.2 ?

Do I have to press the cuda swich to get rid of this message?

If yes, where is the cuda swich in a IMAC 233 ?

Thanks

You probably need to install a firware update off the OS 9 Install CD -
which means you probably have to install OS 8.x first, run the firware
updater, then install OS 9.

Good luck
