I've got an iTunes library (a folder with a ton of music in it), which I
would like to move from a laptop with OS9 to a new one with OSX. How do I
best do it? Presumably there's more to it than just copying the folder with
the music files, since iTunes has a list somewhere telling it where all my
files are, and which belong to which playlist category etc. How do I
transfer it? Please cc: any replies to mlevin77@comcast.net. Thanks!!

Shouldn't be a big deal... You should find an iTunes folder, with a
subfolder named iTunes Music, along with two files: iTunes 4 Music
Library and iTunes Music Library.xml

Copy the iTunes Music folder (complete w. contents) and the two files
into the Music:iTunes folder on your new system, and you should be in
business.

If iTunes doesn't list all the contents, click on the Advanced menu,
then on Consolidate Library. (Or on File then Add to Library).
