| HELP! firmware update gone bad I have a G4 with OS 9.2 on one hard drive and 10.2 on another that I installed not too long ago. I was performing a software update for 10.2.8 when I was prompted for a hard drive firmware update. I followed the GUI instructions and after pressing the "no going back" button it hung on a screen with a question mark folder icon. Any ideas? Thanks, Anthony |

If that doesn't work, boot from a quality third party utilities disk and try the same thing. If no factory or third party utilities disk will fix things, I would re-format the disk and re-install the OS. Assuming you have backup copies of your data. Steve C |

| Re: HELP! firmware update gone bad Thanks Steve, I had to boot from the OS cd and reinstall 10.2, hopefully the firmware wasn't horribly effected in the failed firmware update.
