Starting up panther......

HI,

I just bought panther, aqnd while I think I did a bad first time install, I
am just wondering about the start up blue ³bar² that fills up when you start
Panther.

The blue bar only goes say 1/2 way with some of the writing, then it starts
the login part.

Shouldn¹t it fill right up?

Something wrong?

I know this may sound trivial, but I am curious.

On 10.2, it filled up all the way.

It is going good, and seems stable, fast, (It think that is a bit quicker)
and a few extra features that are good.

Also. I used the option ³erase and install and I had probs, and it seemed to
hang, black boxes would appear saying to ³restart².

So I went to disk utility and did a write over ³zero² for the disk, then I
installed by ³first time²

That did the trick, no probs , black boxes etc.

Any one with any ideas on this blue bar ?

Thanks
