iMovie won't start

What would make iMovie stop working? I double click, the icon makes one bounce
in the dock then closes. No error messages. Permissions are set the same as
iPhoto which does work.

It could be that the project file you were using last somehow got corrupted.
It can't load the project file so it shuts down. Another option is corrupt
preferences.

You could try creating a new user on your computer and then starting iMovie.
If it starts then it is probably one or the other of the two things
mentioned above. If you then try to open your old project and it crashes
you have to think the project is corrupt.

There should be a crash log, I forget where exactly. Also I am not savvy
enough to enterpret what any of the log means. My attempt would be backup,
delete, re-install.

Reinstall didn't help so I went to Version tracker and downloaded the latest
version and is works for now. :-)

Thanks
