adding to dyld's default list of libraries

Is it possible to add a directory (e.g., /usr/local/lib) to the
"default list of libraries" that dyld searches for dynamic libraries
*without* setting DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH? (I'm thinking of something akin
to hacking /etc/ld.config on Linux.)

thanks!
