I have two Kensington wireless two button with scroll wheel mice which I use with my MacBook Pro, one mouse remaining on my desktop and one goes with me when I take the MacBook somewhere such as to a meeting or to my favorite pub. Indeed if they are dropped the batteries might fall out, but I'll accept the dropping as my own clumsiness. As for losing the connection that hasn't been a problem. I do like the feel of the mouse and how my lands (I use it with either hand) position on the mouse. an amusing aside, there was a time when my computer was acting crazy, menus would drop and then immediately disappear just to name one oddity. I packed up the MacBook Pro and took it to the genius bar at the Apple store and everything worked fine. It then dawned on me that I had left the mouse in the carrying case on and the computer was responding to both the mouse on the desktop and the mouse in the case that apparently had one of the buttons pressed by the case. -- James Leo Ryan ..... Well, in a totally unscientific test performed just now, I placed my finger on my wired aluminum keyboard, positioning it in the area to the right of the return key, and it didn't feel cold to me. And, if Apple were to introduce an aluminum mouse things such as the side buttons and scroll wheel could be in the same white plastic as the keytops on the alulminum keyboard. -- James Leo Ryan ..... Interesting. Mine feels cold to me initially when I touch that same area. > And, if Apple were to introduce an > aluminum mouse things such as the side buttons and scroll wheel could be in > the same white plastic as the keytops on the alulminum keyboard. A brushed aluminium mighty mouse is a possibility though. The standard white does kind of stand out at the moment. Stewart |

This happened to me a lot, and I finally ended up experimenting with other mice. The batteries would fall out if I squeezed the mouse body too hard, and the connection would frequently drop...did some research and found out that was a common problem with the Kensington mouse I was using (don't have the exact model number handy). Currently I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse with extra buttons. It uses a dongle in a USB port, which is a minus, but it never loses the connection and the extra buttons are a big plus for me. -- boss, sometimes i think | kevin michael vail that our friend mehitabel | kevin@vaildc.net is a trifle too gay | -- archy | wotthehell wotthehell |
