Happy Birthday, Tablet PC Questions! One year ago today the site name was registered. In that one year, we've met every goal we've set for ourselves. We have over 1000 members. Thousands of people visit regularly. And most importantly, more people have learned about Tablet PCs.

We want to thank you for all your hard work and help. We're not fans of silly forum contests that are designed to add posts and members who don't contribute. These contests ruin the information available to the visitors and members who are looking for information. Instead, we've been trying to figure out a way to make a contest worthy of all of the members and give an extra "thank you" to those of you who have been extremely helpful.

First, let's start small.

Tips & Tricks Gurus
Provide excellent tips in on how to improve users' Tablet PC experiences in the Tips & Tricks Forum for a chance to win $100 each month.

If more than 10 different tips are added to that forum during one month, then I will give one tip from that group the Tip of the Month Award. The member who posted that Tip & Trick will be given a check for $100 (U.S. Dollars) as a thank you.

That's not all! :no:

Once we have 12 Tip & Tricks of the Month Awarded, the members of this board will vote on the best Tip. That winner will be given $500.

These tips must be original. You cannot point to someone else's tip and think that link is worthy of the award or money. We will appreciate your contribution, but it will not be eligible.

Member of the Month
So, you aren't a Tips & Tricks Guru but want to be involved in the site more. Never fear. You too can earn $100. Members who post helpful suggestions in the Troubleshooting and Vendor Forums will also have a chance to earn $100 for the month.

Each month I will review helpful suggestions written by members and choose one member to be "Member of the Month".

Heck. I wont limit it to those forums. You might even be nominated if you bring in other members who contribute to the site.

Member of the Year
Here is the big surprise. I will contribute 50% of all member donated funds into a Member of the Year account. The winner of the Member of the Year will then collect all money in the fund. This fund is only limited by everyone's donations.

How do you donate to the site?
Send me an email using the email address lph AT this sites domain name and I'll give you details. I'll add the link to paypal later. You may donate as little as one dollar and as much as your heart's desires. Be generous so that the fund can grow and help the Member of the Year fund be worthy of the Tablet PC community.

Member of the Year Fund Thread
Once things start cracking on this contest, I'll update this thread with donation amounts so that everyone knows how much may be earned. To get things started, I'm willing to toss in some money at the beginning.

Layne can modify the terms and conditions of this contest at any time. No, I will not keep the 50% donated funds promised. Cheaters will be removed from the site and not be able to take part in the contest.
