Actually, the problem appears a little more complex. Now I can only see
restore points created today and the Undo restore point has vanished. There
is plenty of disk space available so I would not have expected such
relatively recent points to be deleted.

Are there any factors other than available disk space that control the
maintenance of restore points? Why is it only keeping "young" points?
