hmm yes this happened to me before just after i instaled the latest
windows updates. i rebooted, ater windows started loading, the screan
just went blank with only my mouse cursor visible. i shut down and
booted about 20 minutes later and it fixed itself.
so i have no idea. i suggest trying what i did.
