Re: Acer computer cannot see SP1 on windows update site.

There are over 100 million Vista users in the world.
It would take an enormous amount of server capacity
to offer SP1 to 100 million users all at once.

Then why was it offered as an update on my dad's computer? He is running
Vista Home Basic on his Compaq desktop, and he installed it, only to have it
mess up, and he wound up uninstalling it. (I posted here) But it was
definitely offered.
