In September I upgraded my Dash from WM5 to WM6, and less than a week
later, the phone was stolen. In those few days, I didn't notice those
problems you mentioned. My replacement Dash came with WM6 and I've had
none of the problems.
BUT that's not the point of this post. Before I performed the upgrade,
T-Mobile reps as well as numerous webpages made VERY clear to me that
there is NO offical, sanctioned way to go back from WM6 to WM5. The only
way I found was an unofficial 'hack' method detailed on various webpages.
There are things I preferred with WM5, but I haven't had the courage to
try the procedure myself, so I can't say how well or not it works.
