Do you have Photoshop Elements installed?
Ron- I had the same problem. I think it has to do with a recent Windows update. I was able to see my drive letter after I disable a service called "Photoshop Elements Device Connect".
1. Right click: "My Computer" and select Manage
2. Expand: Services and Applications
3. Select: Services
4. Disable: Photoshop Elements Device Connect
5. reboot
