| Re: Getting a VERY SLOW start up and Black Screen that flashes on and Could you give us some information about your computers specifications such
as Processor speed, amount of memory, type of graphics - discreet, onboard.
Do you have a lot of applications installed, have ran a defrag lately,
cleaned out temporary file directories, cleaned up your disk. Is this an
upgrade from a previous version of Windows or Clean install. Have you
checked your Startup Options and disabled unnecessary startup options?
Open Run command
Windows Key + R (or search for the 'Run' from the Start menu Instant Search
field
type in MSCONFIG
Hit Enter
Go to Startup (tab)
Uncheck any unnecessary programs that are starting up with the system.
