Hello, Andre.

Can you please explain the difference between these two service packs?
I tried the first one and it would not install. I got a message that said
that either Visual Studio wasn't installed or it was the wrong edition.

The second one is on your list along with the update for this Service Pack.

I just upgraded from Vista Home Basic to Premium before installing VS.
I then installed Visual Studio 8 / 2005 Professional Edition and tried to
run the (first) Service Pack 1.
