Re: speaking of wishes

Certainly not - we issue Tablets to all of our field people and they take the place of laptops just fine. My ASUS RF-1 is a 2Ghz machine with 2GB of RAM and a 120GB hard drive. Very capable.

A large amount of people in this workforce are very mobile, and carry laptops running Windows XP Pro (even the new laptops just ordered will not yet go Vista because of difficulties with the Citrix environment, I'm told). The ones that do not, are in office environments and use terminals to connect to a Citrix desktop. I've never had any exposure to tablets.

My impression is that tablets could not take the place of laptops-would that be correct?

But them for a Tablet PC :)

Most tablets come with OneNote 2007 and on a tablet you really can appreciate what OneNote has to offer.

I wish that OneNote was offered/bundled in with the business/enterprise packages. I want it at the office!

Our corp is rolling out the Office 2007 suite to all users (@600 plus people) by the end of this month. OneNote will not be available because it would be a separate license.

And yes, I AM pushing it whenever I get the chance.
