It's normal to lose Push during a phone call on GPRS/EDGE, because the phone
can't do voice and data simultaneously. (3G can run simultaneous with
voice, but not GPRS/EDGE.)

How long do you wait? My phone usually reconnects in two or three minutes
after hanging up the phone. Even stranger, sometimes my phone doesn't show
the connected icon, but if I check Activesync, it does say "connected" under
"Microsoft Exchange."
